Where has the time gone? No, really. The Summer is almost over & I keep waiting for life to feel normal again. Maybe that’s the problem. We can’t go back. So we move forward.
Reminds me of that Nikki Giovanni poem, “it’s not the crutches we decry/ it’s the need to move forward though we haven’t the strength…”
We do have the strength, though.
Luckily the fashion side of my lil’ business has stretched & unfurled in ways I couldn’t have anticipated a year ago.
Y’all love vintage and handmade. I knew this, of course. I’ve always “known” it.
But now I feel it deep in the gut as my wee team and I source & produce these goodies.
This patchy dress is one of my favorite upcycled pieces. Check out the vintage men’s shirt used to create it.
The back of the shirt was shredded by time, but OH THAT PRINT! I had a similar sheer version back in the 90’s and rocked it to my high school graduation. All those good vibe-y memories went into the creation of this cutie. Great colors for late Summer, yes? Throw on a cardi & boots to take you deep into Autumn.
